Why is it dangerous to have devil knowledge without saving knowledge?

Answered in 1 source

Devil knowledge without saving knowledge is dangerous because it leads to condemnation rather than salvation, fostering false security in one’s relationship with God.

Having devil knowledge is perilous for individuals because it often leads to a false sense of assurance. James 2:19 points out that even the demons believe in God—and tremble—but their knowledge does not save them. Similarly, when individuals possess only intellectual knowledge of God without embracing Him in faith, they risk falling deeper into condemnation, as this knowledge only adds to their judgment instead of providing redemption. Christ warned in Matthew 11:23-24 that it would be more tolerable for Sodom in the day of judgment than for those who witness His works and yet reject Him. Thus, devil knowledge, devoid of saving faith, brings increased judgment and a greater distance from the saving grace of Christ.
