Why is it dangerous to hear the word of God?

Answered in 1 source

Hearing the word of God comes with the responsibility to respond in belief; rejecting it leads to greater condemnation.

In the sermon, it is noted that while there is tremendous privilege in hearing God's Word, there is also profound danger. Those who have the truth but reject it face a greater condemnation than those who have never received it. This warning illustrates the serious nature of divine revelation; when one hears the gospel, they are accountable for their response. As stated in scripture, to whom much is given, much is required. Thus, those raised in the church and familiar with biblical teachings must approach these truths with reverence, responding in faith rather than indifference or disbelief.
