Why is it foolish to deny the existence of God?

Answered in 1 source

Denying God is considered foolish in Scripture because it goes against the evident truths of creation and humanity's dependence on the Creator (Psalm 14:1).

Psalm 14:1 declares, 'The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”' This denial is foolish not only because it contradicts the overwhelming evidence of God's creation but also because it ignores humanity's innate awareness of an ultimate Creator. The very fabric of existence—life, consciousness, and moral order—testifies to God's existence and power. A man who claims there is no God is seen as foolish because he cuts himself off from the source of truth and purpose. This folly ultimately leads to spiritual and practical consequences, as such a person lives without acknowledgment of their Creator, exhibiting a profound misunderstanding of reality.
