Why is it important for Christians to abide in Him?

Answered in 1 source

Abiding in Him is essential for spiritual growth, confidence before God, and bearing fruit in our lives.

Christians are called to abide in Him as a foundational aspect of their faith. In 1 John 2:28, John emphasizes that abiding in Christ not only fosters spiritual maturity but also gives believers confidence at His coming. This relationship sustains us amidst life's temptations and calls us to remain steadfast in the doctrines of grace. Moreover, abiding in Christ allows us to draw our spiritual nourishment from Him, enabling us to bear fruits of righteousness. Without this abiding relationship, Christians risk falling into spiritual lethargy and disconnection from the source of their life and strength.
