Why is it important for Christians to avoid concern with what others are doing?

Answered in 1 source

Focusing on others can lead to strife and distract from our own responsibilities as Christians.

Christians are called to focus on their own relationship with God and their personal walk of faith. In the sermon, it is noted that strife and division within the church often stem from the prideful tendency to concern ourselves with others' actions and service. Jesus reprimanded Peter when he asked about John, stressing that Peter should focus on his own calling instead of others'. When we occupy ourselves with how others serve or fall short, we divert attention from following Christ faithfully ourselves. Therefore, scripture encourages believers to study to be quiet and to mind their own business, ensuring they are faithfully fulfilling their own calling.
