Why is it important for Christians to call upon the name of Jesus?

Answered in 1 source

Calling upon the name of Jesus is essential for salvation, as He is the only source of grace and mercy.

Romans 10:13 states, 'Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved,' emphasizing the necessity of invoking Jesus' name for salvation. In the sermon, the act of calling upon Christ is portrayed as an acknowledgment of our need for mercy and grace. By reaching out to Him, we affirm our reliance on His intervention in our lives. In doing so, we express faith in His ability to save, as it is only through His righteousness that we can be justified. Therefore, Christians must continually call upon Jesus for both initial salvation and for ongoing sustenance in their walk of faith.
