Why is it important for Christians to change their attitude towards death?

Answered in 1 source

Christians should view death as a privilege and a transition, not as a penalty.

As we grow in our knowledge and faith in Christ, our perspective on death should evolve. Initially, a new believer may view death with fear or reservation due to a lack of understanding. However, as faith matures, believers recognize that death is merely a passage to be with the Lord, which is ultimately a gain. The apostle Paul articulated this in Philippians 1:21 when he said, 'For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.' This transformation in perspective enables Christians to embrace death as a step toward the fulfillment of God's promises and the realization of eternal glory.
