Why is it important for Christians to commit their lives to God?

For Christians, committing our lives to God is essential because it places us under His protective care. In Psalm 31:5, David proclaims, 'Into thy hand I commit my spirit,' which reflects an attitude of surrender and trust in God's overarching plan. This commitment reassures us that our futures are secure in His hands, especially during uncertainties and trials.
