Why is it important for Christians to depend on Christ?

Answered in 2 sources

Christ is the source of all strength and fulfillment for Christians, emphasizing their total reliance on Him.

For Christians, depending on Christ is fundamental to their faith and life. It is through acknowledging their own weakness and reliance on Christ that they find true fulfillment and satisfaction. In John 21, the disciples caught nothing until they obeyed Christ's command to cast their nets on the right side, demonstrating that true success and satisfaction stem from following the directives of the Lord. This dependency not only affirms their faith in His sovereignty but also highlights their need for Him as the source of life, wisdom, and direction. It encourages believers to cast not only their cares but their very lives upon Christ, where they will find true rest and abundance.
