Why is it important for Christians to embrace their pastors?

Answered in 1 source

Embracing pastors is important as they are God's appointed leaders who provide spiritual nourishment and guidance.

Embracing the person, position, and functions of under-shepherds is vital for Christians because these leaders are Christ's gifts to the Church intended to aid in the spiritual growth and maturity of believers. Ephesians 4 declares that Christ gave pastors and teachers for the perfecting of the saints, highlighting their role in feeding and nurturing the congregation's spiritual health. This embrace should be voluntary, joyful, and with thanksgiving, recognizing the importance of these leaders' labor in guiding the flock. As Hebrews 13:24 instructs, honoring and greeting those who rule over us in love demonstrates a healthy relationship and respect for their God-given authority.
