Why is it important for Christians to exalt Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Exalting Christ is essential as it reflects true faith and draws others to Him.

In ministry and personal faith, the emphasis should always remain on Christ. John the Baptist exemplified this by refusing the praise directed at him and instead pointing to Christ as the one who truly holds power. He stated in John 3:30, 'He must increase, but I must decrease.' This principle signifies that the true purpose of ministry is not self-glorification but magnifying Christ's role in salvation. When ministers and Christians focus on Christ, it cultivates a deeper understanding and appreciation of His redemptive work, ultimately leading to a more fruitful witness to the truth of the Gospel.
