Why is it important for Christians to find confidence in God?

Answered in 1 source

Confidence in God allows Christians to face life's storms without fear, knowing He is their refuge and help.

The sermon illustrates that while life is fraught with uncertainty and turmoil, believers can remain fearless because their confidence rests in God as their refuge and strength. Psalm 46 teaches that God is a very present help in trouble, which means He is inherently involved in our lives, actively helping and providing us with the necessary strength to endure hardship. This assurance prevents believers from succumbing to fear, even when circumstances seem dire, such as the figurative shaking of mountains around them.
