Why is it important for Christians to grow in the knowledge of Scripture?

Answered in 1 source

Growing in knowledge of Scripture is crucial for spiritual maturity and navigating life's challenges with hope.

Growth in the knowledge of Scripture is vital for Christians as it is through the word of God that we obtain wisdom, comfort, and hope. As noted in Romans 15:4, the things written in the Scriptures were for our learning, so that through patience and comfort, we might have hope. This growth is linked directly to our ability to handle trials and tribulations effectively, as it produces endurance and transforms us into mature believers. Being grounded in Scripture helps us to resist error and stay steadfast in our faith amidst the uncertainties of life.
