Why is it important for Christians to have confidence in Christ?

Answered in 3 sources

Confidence in Christ is vital for believers as He is their only source of hope and assurance for salvation.

Christ is the foundation of the believer's confidence, and as is stated in Hebrews 10:35, 'Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward.' This call to maintain our confidence in Him emphasizes that true strength arises from recognizing Christ as the sole source of salvation. Trusting in anything else, including oneself or human abilities, leads to ruin. Therefore, having confidence in Christ brings an eternal perspective that is reassuring during trials, fortifying believers against despair and doubt.
