Why is it important for Christians to have peace with others?

Answered in 1 source

Christians are commanded to pursue peace with others, reflecting the unity of the Spirit and the love of Christ.

In Ephesians 4:1-3, the Apostle Paul exhorts believers to walk worthy of their calling by demonstrating lowliness, meekness, and long-suffering in their relationships. He calls us to endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace because we are all one body in Christ. This unity is essential as it mirrors the reconciliation we have with God through Christ. While striving for peace, we must also discern that true peace does not necessitate compromising the gospel or aligning with false teachings. Our primary allegiance is to God and His truth, and we must prioritize this above gaining acceptance from others.
