Why is it important for Christians to hear the gospel often?

Answered in 1 source

Hearing the gospel often is crucial for Christians as it keeps our hearts centered on Christ and guards against false teachings.

Regularly hearing the gospel is vitally important for spiritual health and growth among Christians. In Philippians 3:1, Paul suggests that repeating this message is not tiresome for him but serves as a safeguard for the believers. Listening to the gospel consistently helps keep our hearts and minds focused on Christ, reminding us of His grace and mercy. Moreover, it protects us from the influence of false doctrines and teachers, as a strong foundation in the truth allows us to discern error. The gospel refreshes our spirits, counteracts self-righteousness, and fosters a sense of community in which believers can encourage each other in the faith. As we continuously return to the good news of Christ, we are renewed and energized to live out our faith.
