Why is it important for Christians to know the true Jesus?

Answered in 1 source

Knowing the true Jesus is crucial because trusting in the true Christ is the foundation of salvation and eternal life.

Understanding who the true Jesus is cannot be overstated in a believer's life. Throughout the ages, there have been many distortions of Christ's identity, which lead people to trust in another Jesus that is not the biblical Jesus. In 2 Corinthians 11:4, Paul warns against those who preach 'another Jesus,' emphasizing the danger of false gospels. Christians must discern and affirm the true Jesus—who is both fully God and fully man, the perfect Redeemer who has accomplished salvation through His life, death, and resurrection. This knowledge not only guards our faith but ensures that we are relying on the true source of grace and salvation.
