Why is it important for Christians to not be indifferent to Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Indifference towards Christ equates to unbelief and separation from God, as highlighted in John 5:23.

Indifference to Christ is a serious issue, as it indicates a lack of genuine faith and relationship with Him. In John 5:23, it is made clear that one cannot claim to honor God while being indifferent to His Son. This indifference indicates that a person may have a religious background but does not have a true relationship with Jesus, which is essential for authentic faith. As the sermon illustrated, all of God's dealings hinge on one’s relationship with Christ; to disregard Him is to disregard the very means through which we know and approach the Father. Therefore, Christians must actively engage with and honor Christ to maintain a vibrant faith.
