Why is it important for Christians to not fear death?

Answered in 4 sources

Not fearing death is important for Christians because it reflects trust in God and allows them to live fully in Christ's peace.

For Christians, the absence of fear regarding death signifies a deep trust in God’s promises. As noted in 1 John 4:18, perfect love casts out fear; thus, believers are called to embrace the joy and hope found in Christ. Fearing death can indicate a lack of faith and can rob believers of the joy and peace that should accompany a relationship with Christ. By living without the pall of fear, Christians can engage more fully in the life God has provided, focusing on honoring Him and sharing His love with others.
