Why is it important for Christians to not fear persecution?

Answered in 1 source

Not fearing persecution is crucial because it reflects our trust in God’s sovereignty and His ultimate vindication of His servants.

Jesus acknowledges that His followers will face hostility and persecution, but He commands them to fear not. The reasoning is twofold: first, they are valuable to God and He watches over them, as indicated in His care for sparrows. Second, God will ultimately vindicate His servants—whether through revealing the truth in this life or at the Day of Judgment. A Christian’s focus should be on serving and pleasing God, rather than seeking the approval of men, thus enabling them to endure hardship with courage.
