Why is it important for Christians to pray during difficult times?

Answered in 1 source

Prayer is essential for Christians to seek God’s strength and mercy in times of crisis.

In moments of trial and adversity, Christians are called to pray for deliverance, just as David did while hiding from Saul. David’s example teaches that in desperation, we should approach God as our only source of help. He recognized that despite earthly trials, God's mercy and strength are available to His people. By praying, believers not only express their reliance on God but also affirm their understanding of His character as merciful and powerful. Prayer invites God's intervention, reminding believers that He is aware of their fears and struggles, and capable of providing the necessary aid.
