Why is it important for Christians to recognize God as their light?

For Christians, acknowledging God as our light is vital to walking in truth and holiness. In Ephesians 5:8, the apostle Paul states, 'For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.' This illustrates that our identity is transformed in Christ, and we are called to reflect His light in a dark world. Light exposes darkness, convicting us of sin while also providing guidance and hope.
