Why is it important for Christians to reject false religion?

Christians are called to discern and reject false religion because it often offers empty solutions that do not address humanity's true plight. As illustrated in the sermon, Nebuchadnezzar's reliance on false magicians resulted in a lack of understanding of his true condition and need. Similarly, many practices that masquerade as religion today fail to reveal the gospel and leave people lost without the knowledge of the true God and His grace. Only the gospel can adequately address man's lostness and offer real hope in Christ. Thus, rejecting false religion is fundamental to embracing the authentic message of Scripture.
