Why is it important for Christians to rely on Christ for peace?

The foundation of our peace lies in our relationship with Christ. He instructs in John 14:27, 'Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.' This distinction is crucial; the world's peace is fleeting, often tied to circumstances, whereas Christ’s peace is steadfast, rooted in the Gospel. It enables believers to remain steadfast during trials, strengthens our resolve to trust in God’s sovereignty, and fosters unity among believers as we support one another through life's tribulations.
