As described in Romans 8:13, if we rely on the flesh, we will die spiritually, but through the Spirit, we can mortify the deeds of the body and live. This dependence on Christ shifts the focus from our own works to His perfect righteousness. Walking worthy of our calling involves recognizing that any good we do is a work of God’s grace in us, as we are led by the Spirit, not striving in our own strength.
