Why is it important for Christians to see Christ as their life?

When Christians recognize Christ as their life, it brings forth a transformative purpose in their daily living. As stated in Philippians 1:21, 'For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.' This perspective allows believers to understand that every aspect of life, including suffering and service, is defined by their relationship with Christ. In addition, acknowledging Him as the source of sustenance means that without continual engagement with Him—through prayer, worship, and the Word—believers can become spiritually weak.
