Why is it important for Christians to see Christ in all of Scripture?

Answered in 2 sources

Recognizing Christ in all of Scripture enriches our understanding of God's purpose and strengthens our faith in His redemptive plan.

Understanding that every part of Scripture points to Christ is crucial for Christians as it makes the biblical narrative cohesive and meaningful. The theological underpinnings of the faith are beautifully illustrated through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. As stated in Romans 10:4, Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. When believers recognize Christ in the types, prophecies, and sacrifices of the Old Testament, as well as His teachings in the New Testament, it deepens their appreciation of God's overarching plan of salvation, solidifying their faith and anchoring their hope in Him as the fulfillment of all things. Ultimately, it transforms how we read, interpret, and apply God's Word in our lives.
