Why is it important for Christians to seek an increase in faith?

Answered in 1 source

Increasing our faith is important for Christians to endure offenses and to grow in our ability to forgive.

The apostles demonstrated an awareness of their spiritual need when they asked Jesus, 'Lord, increase our faith' (Luke 17:5). This plea acknowledges that faith is not static; it must grow in order to withstand life's challenges, including the inevitable offenses we encounter. With increased faith, we gain the strength to forgive others and to bear with the offenses we may face, which are part of our human experience. As we cultivate faith through the Word of God and prayer, we become more equipped to navigate the trials and temptations of life, glorifying God in the process.
