Why is it important for Christians to share the gospel?

Answered in 29 sources

Sharing the gospel is vital because it fulfills the call to spread the good news of salvation and demonstrates our obligation to share God’s truth with others (Romans 1:14).

The apostle Paul expresses a significant burden in Romans 1:14, stating, 'I am a debtor both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to the wise and to the unwise.' This reflects that every believer carries a responsibility to share the gospel with all people, regardless of their background or understanding. The importance of sharing the gospel cannot be overstated, as it is the means through which God chooses to bring salvation to the lost. By proclaiming the gospel, Christians participate in God's work of redemption, revealing His grace and mercy to a world in need.
