Why is it important for Christians to shine with the light of Christ?

As Christians, we are called to shine with the light of Christ as a reflection of His glory and grace. Matthew 5:16 instructs believers to let their lights so shine before men that they may see their good works and glorify the Father in heaven. This reflects the calling of the church as a city set on a hill—visible and illuminating hope and truth in a dark world. By embodying Christ's light through our actions and testimonies, we not only glorify God but also serve as instruments in His hand to draw others to the light of the gospel. The acknowledgment of God's grace in our lives must spill over into our interactions, demonstrating His love and mercy to those around us.
