Why is it important for Christians to take sides with God?

Taking sides with God often means standing against our own fleshly inclinations and the cultural ethos that surrounds us. It requires an active declaration of faith, aligning oneself with God’s truth and standards, as we see in 2 Corinthians 6:17 where Paul admonishes to come out from among them and be separate. Being on God's side means unequivocally rejecting any idolatrous notions, including false gospels that compromise the integrity of Christ’s work.
