Why is it important for Christians to trust in Christ rather than the law?

The law is described as something that can never provide life; it only brings condemnation and demands perfection which we cannot fulfill. Christians are called to place their faith in Christ, who offers grace and complete justification apart from works. In Numbers 11, Moses expresses his inability to meet the needs of the people, demonstrating that the law cannot save or sustain us. Christ, however, did not only obey the law but fulfilled it entirely, offering Himself as the ultimate sacrifice that brings life and freedom from sin's condemnation.
