Why is it important for Christians to trust in Christ's faithfulness?

Answered in 1 source

Trusting in Christ's faithfulness is vital because it assures believers of their acceptance and salvation, independent of their own shortcomings.

For Christians, placing their trust in Christ's faithfulness is foundational to their assurance of salvation and acceptance before God. As humans, we often fall short of God’s glory; however, it is Christ’s perfect obedience and righteousness that fulfill God's requirements for us. This means our hope does not depend on our flawed efforts but rather on Jesus, the 'faithful and true' one, who has secured our redemption. Believers can find comfort in knowing that since God cannot lie, His promises are sure, and they can rest confidently in His unchanging character despite life's challenges and uncertainties.
