Why is it important for Christians to trust in God rather than men?

Answered in 1 source

Christians are called to trust in God because men ultimately cannot provide salvation or lasting help.

Psalm 146 warns against placing trust in princes and the son of man, highlighting that reliance on humans will always lead to disappointment. Regardless of their integrity or stature, every human being is frail and mortal. David starkly points out that there is no help in man, for even the best intentions will perish with their thoughts. This poses a strong reminder for believers to place their trust fully in the Lord Jesus Christ, who provides true salvation and always lives to intercede for us. By viewing the futility in trusting humanity, we are encouraged to rest in the eternal nature and promises of our God.
