Why is it important for Christians to trust in God's promises?

The promises of God are foundational to the Christian faith, offering believers assurance that what He has declared in Scripture will come to pass. In 2 Thessalonians 1, believers are reminded that God's promises are yes and amen in Christ, providing rest and hope amid tribulation.
