Why is it important for Christians to trust in God's unseen support?

Answered in 1 source

Trusting in God's unseen support strengthens our faith and alleviates anxiety in times of trouble.

In times of distress, like the servant of Elisha who saw the surrounding army, Christians are often tempted to succumb to fear. However, trusting in God's unseen support, as illustrated when God opened the servant's eyes to see the chariots of fire, reminds us that we are not alone. This faith in God's provision allows us to face life's challenges with confidence, knowing that they who are for us, meaning God Himself along with His angelic host, outnumber those who oppose us. Therefore, reliance on God's hidden strengths promotes peace and resilience.
