Why is it important for Christians to trust in Jesus as their shepherd?

Answered in 1 source

Trusting Jesus as the shepherd ensures guidance, protection, and abundant life (John 10:10).

For Christians, placing trust in Jesus as the Good Shepherd is foundational to their faith. He assures us, 'I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly' (John 10:10). This abundant life is not only about eternal security but also about experiencing His guidance and care throughout our daily lives. Christians can face trials with confidence, knowing that their shepherd intimately knows their struggles and needs. Just as a shepherd cares for his flock, Christ actively leads His followers, ensuring they are protected from spiritual dangers and nourished with the truth of His Word, thereby fostering a deep and abiding relationship with Him.
