Why is it important for Christians to trust in the true Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Trusting in the true Christ is essential for salvation; only He can deliver us from sin and its consequences.

The importance of trusting in the true Christ cannot be overstated. The Lord Jesus Christ is both fully God and fully man, the appointed mediator through whom we receive salvation. As stated in John 14:6, He declares, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man comes to the Father but by Me.' Without trust in the true Christ, individuals risk falling into the trap of false gospels that offer no real hope. Only through the sovereign grace of Christ, who has accomplished redemption by His sacrificial death, can we attain eternal life. This truth should compel believers to continually ensure their faith aligns with the biblical revelation of Christ.
