Why is it important for Christians to understand their relationship to Christ?

Answered in 1 source

Understanding our relationship to Christ is essential for assurance of salvation and living a life of faith.

For Christians, understanding our relationship to Christ is foundational for our faith and assurance. According to Isaiah 54:5, God is our maker and husband, indicating a deep, covenant relationship. Knowing we are in Christ allows believers to grasp the full implications of His righteousness imputed to them and the transformation that comes with it. Believers must recognize that all spiritual blessings are found in Christ (Ephesians 1:3), compelling them to rely on Him fully for sustenance and hope through trials and tribulations.
