Why is it important for Christians to understand they have access to God?

Answered in 1 source

Understanding access to God is vital as it assures believers of their freedom to approach Him at any time in faith.

For Christians, recognizing our complete access to God is foundational to our faith. Hebrews 12:22-24 teaches that we have come to the city of the living God and to Mount Zion, illustrating our continual access to God through Christ. This concept reminds us that through His sacrifice, the barriers that once separated us from God due to sin have been removed. Not only do we approach God with confidence and freedom, but He also invites us to come boldly to His throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). Our unrestricted access is not just a privilege; it embodies the profound relationship believers have with our Heavenly Father, emphasizing His readiness to hear our prayers and meet our needs.
