Why is it important for Christians to use their talents?

Answered in 1 source

Christians are called to use their talents to glorify God and to be accountable for their stewardship.

Using our talents is crucial because it reflects our faithfulness to God's calling and our understanding of stewardship. The faithful servants in the parable were rewarded for their diligent use of what they had received, while the unprofitable servant faced judgment for hiding his talent (Matthew 25:26-30). This teaches us that every gift, whether time, resources, or abilities, is entrusted to us by God, and we must live in a way that honors Him. Ultimately, our use of these talents determines the rewards awaiting us in heaven, and failing to use them as intended shows a lack of faith and commitment to God’s work.
