Why is it important for Christians to wait on God?

Waiting on God is a foundational aspect of the Christian faith, as seen in Psalm 62:5, where David says, 'My soul, wait thou only upon God.' This waiting acknowledges that God is not only our Savior but our refuge and strength in times of trouble. It requires faith to rest in God’s timing, which teaches us that He works all things for our good, even when we cannot see the outcome.
