Why is it important not to be ashamed of the gospel?

Answered in 1 source

Being unashamed of the gospel is essential as it reflects our commitment to the truth of Christ.

In 2 Timothy 1:8, Paul encourages believers not to be ashamed of the testimony of Christ or of Paul, his prisoner. The gospel carries the power of salvation, as stated in Romans 1:16, and it is pivotal for Christians to stand boldly for their faith, even in the face of persecution or societal disapproval. When we are unashamed, we demonstrate our belief in Christ and His truths, as well as our confidence in the transformative power of the gospel. This not only strengthens our faith but also serves as a testimony to others about the hope and grace found in Christ.
