Why is it important not to judge others in matters of faith?

Answered in 1 source

Judging others in matters of faith leads to divisions and is contrary to the love of Christ.

The act of judging others, particularly concerning personal convictions about non-essential matters, disrupts harmony within the body of Christ. Romans 14:10 warns us not to judge a brother, as each believer is ultimately accountable to God. When we judge, we place ourselves in a position that God alone occupies, acting as if we have greater understanding than what is truly revealed. Paul emphasizes that knowledge without love can lead to pride, but love edifies (1 Corinthians 8:1). By fostering an attitude of acceptance rather than judgment, we promote growth, unity, and love within the church.
