Why is it important that Jesus is both God and man?

The dual nature of Christ – fully God and fully man – is foundational to Christian theology. This mystery of godliness allows Jesus to be our true mediator, bridging the gap between a holy God and sinful humanity. He completely understands our struggles and weaknesses because He partook in our human experiences. This is particularly relevant when considering His role as the pillar of cloud and fire, representing God's presence amongst His people. His unique nature enables Him to empathize with us while also possessing the divine authority to save us. Thus, the union of these two natures in Christ supports our faith in His ability to redeem and protect us.
