Why is it important to consider the conscience of weaker brothers?

Answered in 1 source

It's important because leading weaker brothers into actions against their conscience can wound them spiritually and sin against Christ.

Paul stresses in 1 Corinthians 8:10-12 that if a strong believer disregards the conscience of a weaker brother, they not only risk the latter's spiritual health but also sin against Christ. Many weaker believers may not yet understand their freedom in Christ, and seeing a stronger brother indulging in something they believe is wrong can cause them to stumble. This potential to harm our fellow believers compels us to exercise our liberties with caution and consideration, ensuring that our actions do not become a stumbling block to those still growing in their faith.
