Why is it important to glorify God?

The chief end of man, as articulated in the Shorter Catechism, is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. Glorifying God is essential because it recognizes God’s sovereign authority and majesty, while also aligning our lives with His purpose for us. By glorifying God, we reflect His character and nature to the world, pointing others towards Him.
