Why is it important to have good friends?

Having good friends is vital for spiritual growth and protection from sin. Proverbs 27:17 states, 'Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.' This shows how friends can strengthen one another in their walk with God. Good friends provide accountability, support, and encouragement, especially during challenging times. They remind us of God's truths and challenge us to live according to His Word.
