Why is it important to hear the truth about Christ before answering?

Our response to the question, 'What think ye of Christ?' is of eternal significance and should not be made lightly. Proverbs warns us to hear a matter before answering, which underscores the importance of understanding the true nature of Christ before forming a judgment. Only by hearing the gospel faithfully presented can we grasp who Christ is and what He accomplished for sinners, leading us to the right answer and response in our lives. Until we hear the matter as it is written, we cannot accurately judge it.
