Why is it important to look to Christ and not the law?

Answered in 1 source

Looking to Christ is essential because He alone fulfills the law and provides salvation.

The message from Hebrews advises us against trusting in the law, as relying on our compliance leads to death, given that we cannot fully satisfy the requirements of the law. Instead, it directs us to see Christ as more worthy than Moses, who merely foreshadowed the redemption that Christ would secure. By believing in Christ, the perfect apostle and high priest, we acknowledge that our salvation depends on His work alone and not our performance. This faith grants us confidence in God’s promises and assures us of eternal life.
